- 내 아들아 여호와의 징계를 경히 여기지 말라 그 꾸지람을 싫어하지 말라
- 대저 여호와께서 그 사랑하시는 자를 징계하시기를 마치 아비가 그 기뻐하는 아들을 징계함 같이 하시느니라
- 지혜를 얻은 자와 명철을 얻은 자는 복이 있나니
- 이는 지혜를 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫고 그 이익이 정금보다 나음이니라
- 지혜는 진주보다 귀하니 너의 사모하는 모든 것으로 이에 비교할 수 없도다

- My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
- For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
- Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
- For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
- She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
