욥기 34:1-36:33

 엘리후는 의롭다고 주장하는 욥을 악인에 비유하면서, 욥이 하나님을 거역하는 말을 많이 한다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님의 공의와 공평하심을 들어 욥을 비난하면서, 고난 가운데서 하나님께 불평하지 말라고 권고하였다.
  
  엘리후의 변론(34:1-36:33)    
 
  1. 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
  2. 지혜 있는 자들아 내 말을 들으며 지식 있는 자들아 내게 귀를 기울이라
  3. 입이 식물의 맛을 변별함 같이 귀가 말을 분별하나니
  4. 우리가 스스로 옳은 것은 택하고 무엇이 선한가 우리끼리 알아 보자
  5. 욥이 말하기를 내가 의로우나 하나님이 내 의를 제하셨고
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Hear my words, you wise men, And listen to me, you who know.
  3. "For the ear tests words As the palate tastes food.
  4. "Let us choose for ourselves what is right; Let us know among ourselves what is good.
  5. "For Job has said, 'I am righteous, But God has taken away my right;
  1. 내가 정직하나 거짓말장이가 되었고 나는 허물이 없으나 내 상처가 낫지 못하게 되었노라 하니
  2. 어느 사람이 욥과 같으랴 욥이 훼방하기를 물마시듯 하며
  3. 악한 일을 하는 자들과 사귀며 악인과 함께 다니면서
  4. 이르기를 사람이 하나님을 기뻐하나 무익하다 하는구나
  5. 그러므로 너희 총명한 자들아 내 말을 들으라 하나님은 단정코 악을 행치 아니하시며 전능자는 단정코 불의를 행치 아니하시고
  1. Should I lie concerning my right? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.'
  2. "What man is like Job, Who drinks up derision like water,
  3. Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, And walks with wicked men?
  4. "For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing When he is pleased with God.'
  5. "Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to do wrong.
  1. 사람의 일을 따라 보응하사 각각 그 행위대로 얻게 하시나니
  2. 진실로 하나님은 악을 행치 아니하시며 전능자는 공의를 굽히지 아니 하시느니라
  3. 누가 땅을 그에게 맡겼느냐 누가 온 세계를 정하였느냐
  4. 그가 만일 자기만 생각하시고 그 신과 기운을 거두실찐대
  5. 모든 혈기 있는 자가 일체로 망하고 사람도 진토로 돌아 가리라
  1. "For He pays a man according to his work, And makes him find it according to his way.
  2. "Surely, God will not act wickedly, And the Almighty will not pervert justice.
  3. "Who gave Him authority over the earth? And who has laid on Him the whole world?
  4. "If He should determine to do so, If He should gather to Himself His spirit and His breath,
  5. All flesh would perish together, And man would return to dust.
  1. 만일 총명이 있거든 이것을 들으며 내 말소리에 귀를 기울이라
  2. 공의를 미워하는 자시면 어찌 치리하시겠느냐 의롭고 전능하신 자를 네가 정죄하겠느냐
  3. 그는 왕에게라도 비루하다 하시며 귀인들에게라도 악하다 하시며
  4. 왕족을 외모로 취치 아니하시며 부자를 가난한 자보다 더 생각하지 아니하시나니 이는 그들이 다 그의 손으로 지으신 바가 됨이니라
  5. 그들은 밤중 순식간에 죽나니 백성은 떨며 없어지고 세력 있는 자도 사람의 손을 대지 않고 제함을 당하느니라
  1. "But if you have understanding, hear this; Listen to the sound of my words.
  2. "Shall one who hates justice rule? And will you condemn the righteous mighty One,
  3. Who says to a king, 'Worthless one,' To nobles, 'Wicked ones';
  4. Who shows no partiality to princes Nor regards the rich above the poor, For they all are the work of His hands?
  5. "In a moment they die, and at midnight People are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without a hand.
  1. 하나님은 사람의 길을 주목하시며 사람의 모든 걸음을 감찰하시나니
  2. 악을 행한 자는 숨을만한 흑암이나 어두운 그늘이 없느니라
  3. 하나님은 사람을 심판하시기에 오래 생각하실 것이 없으시니
  4. 세력 있는 자를 조사할 것 없이 꺾으시고 다른 사람을 세워 그를 대신하게 하시느니라
  5. 이와 같이 그들의 행위를 아시고 그들을 밤 사이에 엎으신즉 멸망하나니
  1. "For His eyes are upon the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps.
  2. "There is no darkness or deep shadow Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
  3. "For He does not need to consider a man further, That he should go before God in judgment.
  4. "He breaks in pieces mighty men without inquiry, And sets others in their place.
  5. "Therefore He knows their works, And He overthrows them in the night, And they are crushed.
  1. 그들을 악한 자로 여겨 사람의 목전에서 치심은
  2. 그들이 그를 떠나고 그의 모든 길을 무관히 여김이라
  3. 그들이 이와 같이 하여 가난한 자의 부르짖음이 그에게 상달케 하며 환난 받는 자의 부르짖음이 그에게 들리게 하느니라
  4. 주께서 사람에게 평강을 주실 때에 누가 감히 잘못하신다 하겠느냐 주께서 자기 얼굴을 가리우실 때에 누가 감히 뵈올수 있으랴 나라에게나 사람에게나 일반이시니
  5. 이는 사특한 자로 권세를 잡아 백성을 함해하지 못하게 하려 하심이니라
  1. "He strikes them like the wicked In a public place,
  2. Because they turned aside from following Him, And had no regard for any of His ways;
  3. So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, And that He might hear the cry of the afflicted--
  4. When He keeps quiet, who then can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can behold Him, That is, in regard to both nation and man?--
  5. So that godless men would not rule Nor be snares of the people.
  1. 누가 하나님께 아뢰기를 내가 징계를 받았사오니 다시는 범죄치 아니하겠나이다
  2. 나의 깨닫지 못하는 것을 내게 가르치소서 내가 악을 행하였으면 다시는 아니하겠나이다 한 자가 있느냐
  3. 하나님이 네 뜻대로 갚으셔야 하겠다고 네가 그것을 싫어하느냐 그러면 네가 스스로 택할 것이요 내가 할 것이 아니니 너는 아는대로 말하라
  4. 총명한 자와 내 말을 듣는 모든 지혜 있는 자가 필연 내게 이르기를
  5. 욥이 무식하게 말하니 그 말이 지혜 없다 하리라
  1. "For has anyone said to God, 'I have borne chastisement; I will not offend anymore;
  2. Teach me what I do not see; If I have done iniquity, I will not do it again'?
  3. "Shall He recompense on your terms, because you have rejected it? For you must choose, and not I; Therefore declare what you know.
  4. "Men of understanding will say to me, And a wise man who hears me,
  5. 'Job speaks without knowledge, And his words are without wisdom.
  1. 욥이 끝까지 시험 받기를 내가 원하노니 이는 그 대답이 악인과 같음이라
  2. 그가 그 죄 위에 패역을 더하며 우리 중에서 손뼉을 치며 하나님을 거역하는 말을 많이 하는구나
  1. 'Job ought to be tried to the limit, Because he answers like wicked men.
  2. 'For he adds rebellion to his sin; He claps his hands among us, And multiplies his words against God.'"
 
 
  1. 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
  2. 네가 이것을 합리하게 여기느냐 네 생각에 네가 하나님보다 의롭다 하여
  3. 이르기를 유익이 무엇인고 범죄한 것보다 내게 이익이 무엇인고 하는구나
  4. 내가 너와 및 너와 함께 있는 네 동무들에게 대답하리라
  5. 너는 하늘을 우러러 보라 네 위의 높은 궁창을 바라보라
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Do you think this is according to justice? Do you say, 'My righteousness is more than God's'?
  3. "For you say, 'What advantage will it be to You? What profit will I have, more than if I had sinned?'
  4. "I will answer you, And your friends with you.
  5. "Look at the heavens and see; And behold the clouds--they are higher than you.
  1. 네가 범죄한들 하나님께 무슨 영향이 있겠으며 네 죄악이 관영한들 하나님께 무슨 관계가 있겠으며
  2. 네가 의로운들 하나님께 무엇을 드리겠으며 그가 네 손에서 무엇을 받으시겠느냐
  3. 네 악은 너와 같은 사람이나 해할 따름이요 네 의는 인생이나 유익하게 할 뿐이니라
  4. 사람은 학대가 많으므로 부르짖으며 세력 있는 자의 팔에 눌리므로 도움을 부르짖으나
  5. 나를 지으신 하나님 곧 사람으로 밤중에 노래하게 하시며 우리를 교육하시기를 땅의 짐승에게 하심보다 더하게 하시며 우리에게 지혜 주시기를 공중의 새에게 주심보다 더하시는 이가 어디 계신가 말하는 자가 한 사람도 없구나
  1. "If you have sinned, what do you accomplish against Him? And if your transgressions are many, what do you do to Him?
  2. "If you are righteous, what do you give to Him, Or what does He receive from your hand?
  3. "Your wickedness is for a man like yourself, And your righteousness is for a son of man.
  4. "Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.
  5. "But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night,

  2. 그들이 악인의 교만을 인하여 거기서 부르짖으나 응락하는 자가 없음은
  3. 헛된 부르짖음은 하나님이 결코 듣지 아니하시며 전능자가 돌아보지 아니 하심이라
  4. 하물며 말하기를 하나님은 뵈올 수 없고 일의 시비는 그 앞에 있으니 나는 그를 기다릴 뿐이라 하는 너랴
  5. 하나님이 진노하심으로 벌을 주지 아니하셨고 횡포를 심히 살피지 아니하셨으므로
  1. Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth And makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?'
  2. "There they cry out, but He does not answer Because of the pride of evil men.
  3. "Surely God will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.
  4. "How much less when you say you do not behold Him, The case is before Him, and you must wait for Him!
  5. "And now, because He has not visited in His anger, Nor has He acknowledged transgression well,
  1. 이제 너 욥이 헛되이 입을 열어 지식 없는 말을 많이 하는구나
  1. So Job opens his mouth emptily; He multiplies words without knowledge."
 
 
  1. 엘리후가 말을 이어 가로되
  2. 나를 잠간 용납하라 내가 네게 보이리니 이는 내가 하나님을 위하여 오히려 할 말이 있음이라
  3. 내가 먼데서 지식을 취하고 나를 지으신 자에게 의를 돌려 보내리라
  4. 진실로 내 말이 거짓이 아니라 지식이 구비한 자가 너와 함께 있느니라
  5. 하나님은 전능하시나 아무도 멸시치 아니하시며 그 지능이 무궁하사
  1. Then Elihu continued and said,
  2. "Wait for me a little, and I will show you That there is yet more to be said in God's behalf.
  3. "I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
  4. "For truly my words are not false; One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
  5. "Behold, God is mighty but does not despise any; He is mighty in strength of understanding.
  1. 악인을 살려 두지 않으시며 고난 받는 자를 위하여 신원하시며
  2. 그 눈을 의인에게서 돌이키지 아니하시고 그를 왕과 함께 영원히 위에 앉히사 존귀하게 하시며
  3. 혹시 그들이 누설에 매이거나 환난의 줄에 얽혔으면
  4. 그들의 소행과 허물을 보이사 그 교만한 행위를 알게 하시고
  5. 그들의 귀를 열어 교훈을 듣게 하시며 명하여 죄악에서 돌아오게 하시나니
  1. "He does not keep the wicked alive, But gives justice to the afflicted.
  2. "He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous; But with kings on the throne He has seated them forever, and they are exalted.
  3. "And if they are bound in fetters, And are caught in the cords of affliction,
  4. Then He declares to them their work And their transgressions, that they have magnified themselves.
  5. "He opens their ear to instruction, And commands that they return from evil.
  1. 만일 그들이 청종하여 섬기면 형통히 날을 보내며 즐거이 해를 지낼 것이요
  2. 만일 그들이 청종치 아니하면 칼에 망하며 지식 없이 죽을 것이니라
  3. 마음이 사곡한 자들은 분노를 쌓으며 하나님께 속박을 받을찌라도 도우심을 구하지 아니하나니
  4. 그들은 젊어서 죽으며 그 생명이 남창과 함께 망하려니와
  5. 하나님은 곤고한 자를 그 곤고할 즈음에 구원하시며 학대 당할 즈음에 그 귀를 여시나니
  1. "If they hear and serve Him, They will end their days in prosperity And their years in pleasures.
  2. "But if they do not hear, they shall perish by the sword And they will die without knowledge.
  3. "But the godless in heart lay up anger; They do not cry for help when He binds them.
  4. "They die in youth, And their life perishes among the cult prostitutes.
  5. "He delivers the afflicted in their affliction, And opens their ear in time of oppression.
  1. 그러므로 하나님이 너를 곤고함에서 이끌어 내사 좁지 않고 넓은 곳으로 옮기려 하셨은즉 무릇 네 상에 차린 것은 살진 것이 되었으리라
  2. 이제는 악인의 받을 벌이 네게 가득하였고 심판과 공의가 너를 잡았나니
  3. 너는 분격함을 인하여 징책을 대적하지 말라 대속함을 얻을 일이 큰즉 스스로 그릇되게 말찌니라
  4. 너의 부르짖음이나 너의 세력이 어찌 능히 너의 곤고한 가운데서 너로 유익하게 하겠느냐
  5. 너는 밤 곧 인생이 자기 곳에서 제함을 받는 때를 사모하지 말것이니라
  1. "Then indeed, He enticed you from the mouth of distress, Instead of it, a broad place with no constraint; And that which was set on your table was full of fatness.
  2. "But you were full of judgment on the wicked; Judgment and justice take hold of you.
  3. "Beware that wrath does not entice you to scoffing; And do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.
  4. "Will your riches keep you from distress, Or all the forces of your strength?
  5. "Do not long for the night, When people vanish in their place.
  1. 삼가 악으로 치우치지 말라 네가 환난보다 이것을 택하였느니라
  2. 하나님은 그 권능으로 큰 일을 행하시나니 누가 그같이 교훈을 베풀겠느냐
  3. 누가 그를 위하여 그의 길을 정하였느냐 누가 말하기를 주께서 불의를 행하셨나이다 할 수 있으랴
  4. 너는 하나님의 하신 일 찬송하기를 잊지 말찌니라 인생이 그 일을 노래하였느니라
  5. 그 일을 모든 사람이 우러러 보나니 먼데서도 보느니라
  1. "Be careful, do not turn to evil, For you have preferred this to affliction.
  2. "Behold, God is exalted in His power; Who is a teacher like Him?
  3. "Who has appointed Him His way, And who has said, 'You have done wrong'?
  4. "Remember that you should exalt His work, Of which men have sung.
  5. "All men have seen it; Man beholds from afar.
  1. 하나님은 크시니 우리가 그를 알 수 없고 그 년수를 계산할 수 없느니라
  2. 그가 물을 가늘게 이끌어 올리신즉 그것이 안개 되어 비를 이루고
  3. 그것이 공중에서 내려 사람 위에 쏟아지느니라
  4. 구름의 폐임과 그의 장막의 울리는 소리를 누가 능히 깨달으랴
  5. 그가 번개 빛으로 자기의 사면에 두르시며 바다 밑도 가리우시며
  1. "Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable.
  2. "For He draws up the drops of water, They distill rain from the mist,
  3. Which the clouds pour down, They drip upon man abundantly.
  4. "Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion?
  5. "Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.
  1. 이런 것들로 만민을 징벌하시며 이런 것들로 식물을 풍비히 주시느니라
  2. 그는 번개 빛으로 그 두 손을 싸시고 그것을 명하사 푯대를 맞추게 하시나니
  3. 그 울리는 소리가 풍우를 표시하고 육축에게까지 그 올라 오는 것을 표시하느니라
  1. "For by these He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.
  2. "He covers His hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the mark.
  3. "Its noise declares His presence; The cattle also, concerning what is coming up.
