출애굽기 15:1-16:36

모세와 미리암, 그리고 이스라엘 백성들은 바로의 군대로부터 구원해 주신 하나님의 큰 능력을 찬양하였다. 마라의 쓴 물을 나뭇가지로 달게 하신 하나님께서는 자신을 '치료하시는 야웨'라고 밝히셨다. 백성들이 배고픔으로 원망하여 부르짖자 하나님께서는 메추라기와 만나로 먹이셨으며, 6일째에는 평소의 두 배 되는 만나를 거두게 하셔서 안식일을 지키도록 하셨다.
 
  승리의 노래(15:1-15:27)    
 
  1. 그 때에 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 이 노래를 불러서 주님을 찬양하였다. "내가 주님을 찬송하련다. 그지없이 높으신 분, 말과 기병을 바다에 처넣으셨다.
  2. 주님은 나의 힘, 나의 노래, 나의 구원, 주님이 나의 하나님이시니, 내가 그를 찬송하고, 주님이 내 아버지의 하나님이시니, 내가 그를 높이련다.
  3. 주님은 용사이시니, 그 이름 주님이시다.
  4. 바로의 병거와 그 군대를 바다에 던지시니, 빼어난 장교들이 홍해에 잠겼다.
  5. 깊은 물이 그들을 덮치니, 깊은 바다로 돌처럼 잠겼다.
  1. Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD : "I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.
  2. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
  3. The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.
  4. Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea.
  5. The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.
  1. 주님, 오른손이 권능으로 영광을 드러내셨습니다. 주님, 주님의 오른손이 원수를 쳐부수셨습니다.
  2. 주님께서 큰 위엄으로 주님을 대적하는 사람들을 내던지셨습니다. 주님께서 분노를 일으키셔서, 그들을 검불처럼 살라 버리셨습니다.
  3. 주님의 콧김으로 물이 쌓이고, 파도는 언덕처럼 일어서며, 깊은 물은 바다 한가운데서 엉깁니다.
  4. 원수는 말하기를 '내가 그들을 뒤쫓아 따라잡고, 약탈물을 나누며, 나의 욕망을 채우겠다. 내가 칼을 뽑아 그들을 멸망시키겠다' 합니다.

  1. "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy.
  2. In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.
  3. By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood firm like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
  4. "The enemy boasted, 'I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.'
  5. But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
  1. 주님, 신들 가운데서 주님과 같은 분이 어디에 있겠습니까? 주님과 같이 거룩하시며, 영광스러우시며, 찬양받을 만한 위엄이 있으시며, 놀라운 기적을 일으키시는, 그런 분이 어디에 있겠습니까?
  2. 주님께서 오른팔을 내어미시니, 땅이 대적을 삼켜 버렸습니다.
  3. 주님께서 한결같은 사랑으로, 손수 구원하신 이 백성을 이끌어 주시고, 주님의 힘으로 그들을 주님의 거룩한 처소로 인도하여 주십니다.
  4. 이 이야기를 듣고, 여러 민족이 두려워서 떱니다. 블레셋 주민이 겁에 질려 있습니다.
  5. 에돔의 지도자들이 놀라고, 모압의 권력자들도 무서워서 떨며, 가나안의 모든 주민도 낙담합니다.
  1. "Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ? Who is like you-- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?
  2. You stretched out your right hand and the earth swallowed them.
  3. "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
  4. The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia.
  5. The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;
  1. 그들이 모두 공포와 두려움에 사로잡혀 있습니다. 주님, 주님의 권능의 팔 때문에, 주님의 백성이 다 지나갈 때까지, 주님께서 속량하신 이 백성이 다 지나갈 때까지, 그들은 돌처럼 잠잠하였습니다.

  1. terror and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone-- until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people you bought pass by.
  2. You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance-- the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.
  3. The LORD will reign for ever and ever."
  4. When Pharaoh's horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
  5. Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.
  1. 미리암이 노래를 메겼다. "주님을 찬송하여라. 그지없이 높으신 분, 말과 기병을 바다에 던져 넣으셨다."
  2. 모세는 이스라엘을 홍해에서 인도하여 내어, 수르 광야로 들어갔다. 그들은 사흘 동안 걸어서 광야로 들어갔으나, 물을 찾지 못하였다.

  1. Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea."
  2. Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.
  3. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. )
  4. So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"
  5. Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.
  1. 주님께서 말씀하셨다. "너희가, 주 너희 하나님인 나의 말을 잘 듣고, 내가 보기에 옳은 일을 하며, 나의 명령에 순종하고, 나의 규례를 모두 지키면, 내가 이집트 사람에게 내린 어떤 질병도 너희에게는 내리지 않을 것이다. 나는 주 곧 너희를 치료하는 하나님이다."
  2. 그들이 엘림에 이르렀다. 거기에는 샘이 열두 곳이나 있고, 종려나무가 일흔 그루나 있었다. 그들은 그 곳 물가에 진을 쳤다.
  1. He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
  2. Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.
 
  만나와 메추라기(16:1-16:36)    
 
  1. 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 엘림에서 떠나, 엘림과 시내 산 사이에 있는 신 광야에 이르렀다. 이집트 땅에서 나온 뒤, 둘째 달 보름이 되던 날이다.
  2. 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하였다.
  3. 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 항의하였다. "차라리 우리가 이집트 땅 거기 고기 가마 곁에 앉아 배불리 음식을 먹던 그 때에, 누가 우리를 주님의 손에 넘겨 주어서 죽게 했더라면 더 좋을 뻔 하였습니다. 그런데 당신들은 지금 우리를 이 광야로 끌고 나와서, 이 모든 회중을 다 굶어 죽게 하고 있습니다."
  4. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너희가 먹을 것을 하늘에서 비처럼 내려 줄 터이니, 백성이 날마다 나가서, 그날 그날 먹을 만큼 거두어들이게 하여라. 이렇게 하여, 그들이 나의 지시를 따르는지, 따르지 않는지 시험하여 보겠다.
  5. 매주 엿샛날에는, 거두어들인 것으로 먹거리를 준비하다 보면, 날마다 거두던 것의 두 배가 될 것이다."
  1. The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt.
  2. In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
  3. The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.
  5. On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days."
  1. 모세와 아론이 모든 이스라엘 자손에게 말하였다. "저녁이 되면, 당신들은 이집트 땅에서 당신들을 이끌어 내신 분이 주님이시라는 것을 알게 될 것입니다.
  2. 당신들이 우리를 보고 원망한 것이 아니라, 주님을 원망하였습니다. 주님께서 당신들이 주님을 원망하는 소리를 들으셨습니다. 이제 아침이 되면, 당신들이 주님의 영광을 보게 될 것입니다. 우리가 무엇이라고, 당신들이 우리를 보고 원망하십니까?"
  3. 또 모세가 말하였다. "주님께서 저녁에는 당신들에게 먹을 고기를 주시고, 아침에는 배불리 먹을 빵을 주실 것입니다. 주님께서는, 당신들이 주님을 원망하는 소리를 들으셨습니다. 당신들이 하는 원망은 우리에게 하는 것이 아니라, 주님께 하는 것입니다."
  4. 모세가 아론에게 말하였다. "주님께서 이스라엘 자손이 원망하는 소리를 들으셨으니, 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 주님 앞으로 가까이 나아오라고 일러주십시오."
  5. 아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말할 때에, 그들이 광야를 바라보니, 주님의 영광이 구름 속에 나타났다.
  1. So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt,
  2. and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?"
  3. Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD."
  4. Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.' "
  5. While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.
  1. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "나는 이스라엘 자손이 원망하는 소리를 들었다. 너는 그들에게 '너희가 저녁이 되면 고기를 먹고, 아침에는 빵을 배불리 먹을 것이다. 그렇게 될 때에 너희는 나 주가 너희의 하나님임을 알게 될 것이다' 하고 말하여라."
  3. 그 날 저녁에 메추라기가 날아와서 진 친 곳을 뒤덮었고, 다음날 아침에는 진 친 곳 둘레에 안개가 자욱하였다.
  4. 안개가 걷히고 나니, 이럴 수가, 광야 지면에, 마치 땅 위의 서리처럼 보이는, 가는 싸라기 같은 것이 덮여 있는 것이 아닌가!
  5. 이스라엘 자손이 그것을 보고, 그것이 무엇인지 몰라서, 서로 "이게 무엇이냐?" 하고 물었다. 모세가 그들에게 말하였다. "이것은 주님께서 당신들에게 먹으라고 주신 양식입니다.
  1. The LORD said to Moses,
  2. "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.' "
  3. That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
  4. When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.
  5. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.
  1. 주님께서 당신들에게 명하시기를, 당신들은 각자 먹을 만큼씩만 거두라고 하셨습니다. 당신들 각 사람은, 자기 장막 안에 있는 식구 수대로, 식구 한 명에 한 오멜씩 거두라고 하셨습니다."
  2. 이스라엘 자손이 그대로 하니, 많이 거두는 사람도 있고, 적게 거두는 사람도 있었으나,
  3. 오멜로 되어 보면, 많이 거둔 사람도 남지 않고, 적게 거둔 사람도 모자라지 않았다. 그들은 제각기 먹을 만큼씩 거두어들인 것이다.
  4. 모세가 그들에게 아무도 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두지 말라고 하였다.
  5. 그런데 어떤 사람들은 모세의 말을 듣지 않고, 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두었다. 그랬더니, 남겨 둔 것에서는 벌레가 생기고 악취가 풍겼다. 모세가 그들에게 몹시 화를 내었다.
  1. This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.' "
  2. The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.
  3. And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed.
  4. Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning."
  5. However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.
  1. 그래서 그들은 아침마다 자기들이 먹을 만큼씩만 거두었다. 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면, 그것은 다 녹아 버렸다.

  1. Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.
  2. On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much--two omers for each person--and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.
  3. He said to them, "This is what the LORD commanded: 'Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.' "
  4. So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it.
  5. "Eat it today," Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.
  1. 당신들이 엿새 동안은 그것을 거둘 것이나, 이렛날은 안식일이니, 그 날에는 거두어들일 것이 없을 것입니다."
  2. 모세가 이렇게 말하였는데도, 백성 가운데서 어떤 사람은 이렛날에도 그것을 거두러 나갔다. 그러나 아무것도 얻지 못하였다.
  3. 그 때에 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너희가 언제까지 나의 명령과 나의 지시를 지키지 않으려느냐?
  4. 내가 너희에게 안식일을 주었으니, 엿샛날에는 내가 너희에게 양식 이틀치를 준다. 그러니 이렛날에는 아무도 집을 떠나 밖으로 나가서는 안 된다. 너희는 이것을 명심하여야 한다."
  5. 그리하여 백성이 이렛날에는 안식하였다.
  1. Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any."
  2. Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.
  3. Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?
  4. Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out."
  5. So the people rested on the seventh day.
  1. 이스라엘 사람은 그것을 만나라고 하였다. 그것은 고수 씨처럼 하얗고, 그 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자와 같다.
  2. 모세가 말하였다. "주님께서 명하신 말씀입니다. '너희는 이것을 한 오멜씩 가득 담아 간수하여, 내가 너희를 이집트 땅에서 인도하여 낼 때에, 광야에서 너희에게 주어 먹게 한 이 먹거리를 너희의 자손 대대로 볼 수 있게 하여라.'"
  3. 모세가 아론에게 말하였다. "항아리 하나를 가져 와서, 거기에 만나 한 오멜을 담아 가지고 주님 앞에 두어서, 대대로 간수하게 하여 주십시오."
  4. 그래서 아론은, 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 그것을 증거판 앞에 두고서, 늘 거기에 있게 하였다.
  5. 이스라엘 자손은 정착지에 이를 때까지 사십 년 동안 만나를 먹었다. 가나안 땅 접경에 이를 때까지 만나를 먹었다.
  1. The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.
  2. Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.' "
  3. So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come."
  4. As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.
  5. The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan.
