- 우리가 우리 하나님의 이름을 잊었거나, 우리의 두 손을 다른 신을 향하여 펴 들고서 기도를 드렸다면,
- 마음의 비밀을 다 아시는 하나님께서 어찌 이런 일을 찾아내지 못하셨겠습니까?
- 우리가 날마다 죽임을 당하며, 잡아먹힐 양과 같은 처지가 된 것은, 주님 때문입니다.
- 주님, 깨어나십시오. 어찌하여 주무시고 계십니까? 깨어나셔서, 영원히 나를 버리지 말아 주십시오.
- 어찌하여 얼굴을 돌리십니까? 우리가 고난과 억압을 당하고 있음을, 어찌하여 잊으십니까?

- If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
- Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
- Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
- Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
- Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
