열왕기상 7:1-7:51

 성전 건축을 마친 솔로몬은 이어 자신의 궁전을 건축하였고 성전에 필요한 여러 가지 기구들을 제작하였다.
  
  왕궁 건축(7:1-7:12)    
 
  1. 솔로몬은, 자기의 궁을 건축하기 시작하여 그것을 완공하는 데, 열세 해가 걸렸다.
  2. 그는 '레바논 수풀 궁'을 지었는데, 그 길이는 백 자이고, 그 너비는 쉰 자이고, 그 높이는 서른 자이다. 백향목 기둥을 네 줄로 세우고, 그 기둥 위에는 백향목 서까래를 얹었다.
  3. 지붕에는, 한 줄에 열다섯 개씩, 모두 마흔다섯 개의 서까래를 대고, 백향목 판자로 덮었다.
  4. 창틀은 세 줄로 되어 있고, 그 창문들은 세 단으로 되어서, 서로 마주 보고 있었다.
  5. 문과 문설주는 모두 네모난 모양이고, 창문은 창문끼리 세 줄로 마주 보고 있었다.
  1. But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
  2. He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
  3. And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row.
  4. And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.
  5. And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks.

  4. 왕궁을 포함한 모든 건물은, 치수를 재어서 깎은 귀한 돌, 앞뒤를 톱으로 자른 값진 돌들로 지었는데, 기초에서부터 갓돌까지, 또 바깥은 물론이고, 건물 안의 큰 뜰까지, 다 그러한 재료를 써서 지었다.
  5. 기초를 놓을 때에도 값진 큰 돌들을 놓았는데, 어떤 돌은 열 자나 되고, 어떤 돌은 여덟 자나 되었다.
  1. And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them.
  2. Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.
  3. And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.
  4. All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.
  5. And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
  1. 기초를 다진 다음에는, 그 위에다가 치수를 재어서, 잘 다듬은 값진 돌과 백향목으로 벽을 올렸다.
  2. 왕궁 뜰의 담이나, 주님의 성전 안뜰의 담이나, 성전의 어귀 현관의 담은, 모두 잘 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 두꺼운 백향목 판자 한 켜를 놓아서 쌓았다.
  1. And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.
  2. And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
 
  성전 기구 제작(7:13-7:51)    
 
  1. 솔로몬 왕은 사람을 보내어서, 두로에서 후람을 불러 왔는데,
  2. 그는 납달리 지파에 속한 과부의 아들이다. 그의 아버지는 두로 사람으로서, 놋쇠 대장장이이다. 그는, 놋쇠를 다루는 일에는, 뛰어난 지혜와 기술과 전문 지식을 두루 갖춘 사람이었다. 그가 솔로몬 왕에게 불려와서, 공사를 거의 도맡아 하였다.
  3. 그는 두 개의 놋쇠 기둥을 만들었다. 둘 다 열여덟 자 높이에, 열두 자 둘레였다.
  4. 그는 또, 그 두 기둥의 꼭대기에 얹어 놓을 두 개의 기둥 머리를, 놋을 녹여 부어서 만들었는데, 그 기둥 머리는 둘 다 꼭 같이 높이가 다섯 자이다.
  5. 기둥 꼭대기에 얹은 기둥 머리를 장식하려고, 바둑판 모양으로 얽은 그물과 사슬 모양의 고리를 각각 일곱 개씩 만들었다.
  1. And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.
  2. He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.
  3. For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.
  4. And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:
  5. And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter.
  1. 이렇게 두 기둥을 만들고 나서, 기둥 꼭대기에 얹은 기둥 머리를 장식하였다. 놋쇠로 석류를 만들고, 그물에다가 석류를 두 줄로 늘어뜨려서 기둥 머리를 장식하였다.
  2. 기둥 꼭대기에 얹은 기둥 머리는 그 높이가 넉 자이다. 나리꽃 모양으로 만들었는데,
  3. 사슬 장식 위에 둥그렇게 돌출된 부분에다가 얹었다. 기둥 머리에는 놋쇠로 만든 석류 이백 개가 둥그렇게 열을 지어 있었다. 다른 기둥 머리도 마찬가지였다.
  4. 후람은 이렇게 해서 만든 두 기둥을 성전의 현관에다가 세웠다. 오른쪽 기둥을 세우고, 그 이름을 야긴이라고 하였고, 왼쪽 기둥을 세우고, 그 이름을 보아스라고 하였다.
  5. 그 다음에 기둥들의 꼭대기에는 나리꽃 모양으로 만든 기둥 머리를 얹었는데, 이렇게 해서, 후람은 기둥 세우는 일을 마쳤다.
  1. And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter.
  2. And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.
  3. And the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter.
  4. And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.
  5. And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
  1. 그 다음에 후람은 놋쇠를 부어서 바다 모양 물통을 만들었는데, 그 바다 모양 물통은, 지름이 열 자, 높이가 다섯 자, 둘레가 서른 자이고, 둥근 모양을 한 물통이었다.
  2. 그 가장자리 아래로는, 돌아가면서, 놋쇠로 만든 호리병 모양의 박이 있는데, 이것들은 놋쇠를 부어서 바다 모양 물통을 만들 때에, 두 줄로 부어서 만든 것이다.
  3. 또한 열두 마리의 놋쇠 황소가 바다 모양 물통을 떠받치고 있는데, 세 마리는 북쪽을 바라보고, 세 마리는 서쪽을 바라보고, 세 마리는 남쪽을 바라보고, 세 마리는 동쪽을 바라보고 서 있었고, 등으로 바다 모형을 떠받치고 있었다. 황소는 모두 엉덩이를 안쪽으로 향하고 있었다.
  4. 그 놋쇠로 된 바다 모양 물통의 두께는 손 너비 만하였다. 그 테두리는 나리꽃 봉오리 모양으로, 잔의 테두리처럼 둥글게 만들었다. 그 용량은 물을 이천 말 정도 담을 수 있는 것이었다.
  5. 그는 또 놋으로 받침대를 열 개 만들었는데, 받침대마다 길이가 넉 자, 너비가 넉 자, 높이가 석 자이다.
  1. And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.
  2. And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.
  3. It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.
  4. And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
  5. And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.
  1. 받침대의 구조는 다음과 같다. 받침대는 판자 테두리를 가지고 있고, 그 테두리는 틀 사이에 끼어 있었다.
  2. 틀 사이에 낀 판자 테두리 위에다가는, 사자와 소와 그룹을 그려 넣었다. 사자와 소의 위 아래로는 화환 무늬를 새겨 넣었다.
  3. 그리고 각 받침대에는, 네 개의 놋쇠 바퀴와 놋쇠 축과 네 개의 다리를 달았다. 그 네 개의 다리는 놋쇠 대야 아래에서 어깨 모양의 받침두리를 괴고 있었다. 이 받침두리들은 화환 무늬의 맞은쪽에서 녹여 부어서 만든 것이었다.
  4. 그 아가리는 받침두리 안에서 위로 한 자 높이로 솟아나와 있었는데, 그 아가리는 지름이 한 자 반으로, 둥글게 받침두리와 같은 모양으로 되어 있고, 그 아가리에는 돌아가면서, 새긴 것이 있었다. 그러나 그 테두리 판자들은 네모지고, 둥글지 않았다.
  5. 그 테두리 판자의 아래에는 네 개의 바퀴를 달고, 바퀴의 축은 받침대 안에다 넣었다. 바퀴 하나의 높이는 한 자 반이었다.
  1. And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges:
  2. And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.
  3. And every base had four brasen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition.
  4. And the mouth of it within the chapiter and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were gravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.
  5. And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
  1. 그 바퀴의 구조는 말이 끄는 전차 바퀴의 구조와 같았다. 바퀴의 축과 테두리와 바퀴살과 그 축의 통은 모두 놋쇠를 녹여 부어서 만든 것이었다.
  2. 그리고 받침대의 네 귀퉁이에는, 어깨 모양의 받침두리가 네 개 붙어 있는데, 그 받침대에서 받침두리가 잇따라 나와 있었다.
  3. 받침대 꼭대기에는 반 자 높이의 테두리가 둥글게 둘려 있고, 또 받침대의 아래에는 바퀴축인 버팀대와 테두리 판자들이 연결되어 있었다.
  4. 바퀴축인 버팀대 판자와 테두리 판자 위의 빈 곳에는, 그룹과 사자와 종려나무를 활짝 핀 꽃 모양과 함께 새겼다.
  5. 그는 이러한 방식으로 받침대 열 개를 만들었는데, 모두가 같은 치수와 같은 양식으로, 일일이 부어서 만들었다.
  1. And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were all molten.
  2. And there were four undersetters to the four corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself.
  3. And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same.
  4. For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions round about.
  5. After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.
  1. 또 그는 놋쇠로 대야 열 개를 만들었다. 대야마다 물을 마흔 말씩 담을 수 있었다. 대야들의 지름은 넉 자이다. 받침대 열 개에는 모두 대야 하나씩을 달았다.
  2. 받침대 다섯 개는 성전의 오른쪽에, 다섯 개는 성전의 왼쪽에 놓았고, 바다 모양 물통은 성전 오른쪽의 동남쪽 모퉁이에 놓았다.
  3. 후람은 또 솥과 부삽과 피 뿌리는 대접을 만들었다. 이렇게 후람은, 솔로몬 왕이 주님의 성전에다가 해 놓으라고 시킨 모든 일을 마쳤다.
  4. 그가 만든 것들은, 두 기둥과, 그 두 기둥 꼭대기에 얹은 둥근 공 모양을 한 기둥 머리 둘과, 그 두 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 공 모양을 한 기둥 머리에 씌운 그물 두 개와,
  5. 기둥 꼭대기에 있는 공 모양을 한 기둥 머리에 씌운 각 그물에다가 두 줄로 장식한 석류 사백 개와,
  1. Then made he ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.
  2. And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.
  3. And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD:
  4. The two pillars, and the two bowls of the chapiters that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars;
  5. And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars;
  1. 또 받침대 열 개와, 받침대 위에 놓을 대야 열 개와,
  2. 바다 모양 물통 한 개와, 그 바다 모양 물통 아래에 받쳐 놓은 황소 모양 열두 개와,
  3. 솥과 부삽과 피 뿌리는 대접 들이다. 후람이 솔로몬 왕을 도와서 만든 주님의 성전의 이 모든 기구는 모두 광택나는 놋쇠로 만든 것이다.
  4. 왕은 이 기구들을, 숙곳과 사르단 사이에 있는 요단 계곡의 진흙에 부어서 만들게 하였다.
  5. 이 기구들이 너무 많아서, 솔로몬이 그 무게를 달지 못하였으므로, 여기에 사용된 놋쇠의 무게는 아무도 모른다.
  1. And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;
  2. And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;
  3. And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.
  4. In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.
  5. And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the brass found out.
  1. 솔로몬은 또 주님의 성전 안에다가 둘 기구를 만들었는데, 곧 금 제단과, 빵을 늘 차려 놓는 금으로 만든 상과,
  2. 또 등잔대들, 곧 지성소 앞의 오른쪽에 다섯 왼쪽에 다섯 개씩 놓을 순금 등잔대들과, 금으로 만든 꽃 장식과, 등잔과, 부집게와,
  3. 순금으로 된 잔과, 심지 다듬는 집게와, 피 뿌리는 대접과, 향로와, 불 옮기는 그릇과, 내실 곧 지성소 문에 다는 금돌쩌귀와, 성전의 바깥 문에 다는 금돌쩌귀 들이다.
  4. 이렇게 해서, 솔로몬 왕은 주님의 성전을 짓는 모든 일을 완성하였다. 솔로몬은 그의 아버지 다윗이 거룩하게 구별해서 바친 성물 곧 은과 금과 기구들을 가져다가, 주님의 성전 창고에 넣었다.
  1. And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the shewbread was,
  2. And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,
  3. And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple.
  4. So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.
