- 주님께서는 강들을 사막으로 만드시며, 물이 솟는 샘들을 마른 땅이 되게 하시며,
- 그 곳에서 사는 사람들의 죄악 때문에, 옥토를 소금밭이 되게 하신다.
- 그러나 주님께서는 사막을 연못으로 만드시며, 마른 땅을 물이 솟는 샘으로 만드시고,
- 굶주린 사람들로 거기에 살게 하시어, 그들이 거기에다 사람 사는 성읍을 세우게 하시고,
- 밭에 씨를 뿌리며 포도원을 일구어서, 풍성한 소출을 거두게 하시며,

- He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
- A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
- He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
- And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
- And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

- 또 그들에게 복을 주시어, 그들이 크게 번성하게 하시고, 가축이 줄어들지 않게 하신다.
- 그들이 억압과 고난과 걱정 근심 때문에 수가 줄어들고 비천해질 때에,
- 주님께서는 높은 자들에게 능욕을 부으시고, 그들을 길 없는 황무지에서 헤매게 하셨지만,
- 가난한 사람은 그 고달픔에서 벗어나게 해주시고, 그 가족을 양 떼처럼 번성하게 하셨다.
- 정직한 사람은 이것을 보고 즐거워하고, 사악한 사람은 말문이 막힐 것이다.

- He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
- Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
- He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
- Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
- The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

- 지혜 있는 사람이 누구냐? 이 일들을 명심하고, 주님의 인자하심을 깨달아라.
|
- Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
