이사야 64:1-66:24

 이사야는 이스라엘이 바벨론에서 해방되도록 하나님께 간구하였다. 이에 하나님께서는 이스라엘의 죄로 인한 심판의 필연성을 선포하셨다. 그리고 신앙을 지킨 남은 자들의 구원과 이들을 중심으로 한 예루살렘의 평화와 번영을 약속하셨다. 또한 구원이 이방인에게 확대될 것과 그리스도의 재림, 죄인의 최후 심판을 예고하셨다.
  
  도움을 구하는 기도(64:1-64:12)    
 
  1. 주님께서 하늘을 가르시고 내려오시면, 산들이 주님 앞에서 떨 것입니다.
  2. 마치 불이 섶을 사르듯, 불이 물을 끓이듯 할 것입니다. 주님의 대적들에게 주님의 이름을 알게 하시고, 이방 나라들이 주님 앞에서 떨게 하여 주십시오.
  3. 주님께서 친히 내려오셔서, 우리들이 예측하지도 못한 놀라운 일을 하셨을 때에, 산들이 주님 앞에서 떨었습니다.
  4. 이런 일은 예로부터 아무도 들어 본 적이 없습니다. 아무도 귀로 듣거나 눈으로 본 적이 없습니다. 주님 말고 어느 신이 자기를 기다리는 자들에게 이렇게 할 수 있었겠습니까?
  5. 주님께서는, 정의를 기쁨으로 실천하는 사람과, 주님의 길을 따르는 사람과, 주님을 기억하는 사람을 만나 주십니다. 그러나 주님, 보십시오. 주님께서 진노하신 것은 우리가 오랫동안 죄를 지었기 때문입니다. 우리가 어찌 구원을 받겠습니까?
  1. Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
  2. As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!
  3. When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.
  4. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
  5. Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
  1. 우리는 모두 부정한 자와 같고 우리의 모든 의는 더러운 옷과 같습니다. 우리는 모두 나뭇잎처럼 시들었으니, 우리의 죄악이 바람처럼 우리를 휘몰아 갑니다.
  2. 아무도 주님의 이름을 부르지 않습니다. 주님을 굳게 의지하려고 분발하는 사람도 없습니다. 그러기에 주님이 우리에게서 얼굴을 숨기셨으며, 우리의 죄악 탓으로 우리를 소멸시키셨습니다.
  3. 그러나 주님, 주님은 우리의 아버지이십니다. 우리는 진흙이요, 주님은 우리를 빚으신 토기장이이십니다. 우리 모두가 주님이 손수 지으신 피조물입니다.
  4. 주님, 진노를 거두어 주십시오. 우리의 죄악을 영원히 기억하지 말아 주십시오. 주님, 보십시오. 우리는 다 주님의 백성입니다.
  5. 주님의 거룩한 성읍들이 광야가 되었습니다. 시온은 광야가 되었고, 예루살렘은 황폐해졌습니다.
  1. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
  2. And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.
  3. But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
  4. Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
  5. Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.
  1. 우리의 조상이 주님을 찬송하던 성전, 우리의 거룩하고 영광스럽던 성전이 불에 탔고, 우리에게 즐거움을 주던 곳들이 모두 황폐해졌습니다.
  2. 주님, 형편이 이러한데도, 주님께서는 그저 가만히 계십니까? 그렇게 잠잠히 계셔서, 우리가 극심한 고통을 받도록 하시렵니까?
  1. Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
  2. Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
 
  심판과 구원(65:1-65:16)    
 
  1. "나는 내 백성의 기도에 응답할 준비를 하고 있었지만, 내 백성은 아직도 내게 요청하지 않았다. 누구든지 나를 찾으면, 언제든지 만나려고 준비를 하고 있었지만, 아무도 나를 찾지 않았다. 내 이름을 부르지도 않던 나라에게, 나는 '보아라, 나 여기 있다. 보아라, 나 여기 있다' 하고 말하였다.
  2. 제멋대로 가며 악한 길로 가는 반역하는 저 백성을 맞이하려고, 내가 종일 팔을 벌리고 있었다.
  3. 이 백성은 동산에서 우상에게 제사하며, 벽돌 제단 위에 분향하여, 내 앞에서 늘 나를 분노하게 만드는 백성이다.
  4. 그들은 밤마다 무덤 사이로 다니면서, 죽은 자의 영들에게 물어 본다. 돼지고기를 먹으며, 이방 제삿상에 올랐던 고기 국물을 마신다.
  5. 그러면서도 그들은 다른 사람들에게 '멀찍이 서 있어라, 우리는 거룩하니, 너희가 우리에게 닿아서는 안 된다. 가까이 오지 말아라' 하고 말하는 백성이다. 이런 자들을 내가 참지 못한다. 그들을 향한 나의 분노는 꺼지지 않는 불처럼 타오른다.
  1. I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
  2. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
  3. A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
  4. Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
  5. Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.
  1. 보아라, 이 모든 것이 내 앞에 기록되어 있으니, 내가 갚고야 말겠다. 그들의 품에 갚을 때까지는, 내가 절대로 잠잠하지 않겠다."

  3. 주님께서 말씀하신다. "포도송이에 즙이 들어 있으므로, 사람들이, '그것을 없애지 말아라. 그 속에 복이 들어 있다' 하고 말한다. 나도 이와 같이 나의 종들을 생각하여, 그들을 다 멸하지는 않겠다.
  4. 내가 야곱으로부터 자손이 나오게 하며, 유다로부터 내 산을 유업으로 얻을 자들이 나오게 하겠다. 내가 택한 사람들이 그것을 유업으로 얻으며, 내 종들이 거기에 살 것이다.
  5. 샤론 평야는 나를 찾는 내 백성이 양 떼를 치는 목장이 되고, 아골 골짜기는 소들이 쉬는 곳이 될 것이다.
  1. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,
  2. Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
  3. Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
  4. And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
  5. And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.
  1. 그러나 나 주를 떠나서, 내 거룩한 산을 잊고, 갓에게 상을 차려 놓으며, 므니에게 섞은 술을 가득히 부어 바치는 자들아!
  2. 내가 너희를 칼에 죽는 신세가 되게 하겠다. 너희 모두가 살육하는 자에게 몸을 구부리게 될 것이다. 이는 내가 불러도 너희가 대답하지 않으며, 내가 말하여도 너희가 듣지 않으며, 너희가 내 눈에 악하게 보이는 일만을 하며, 내가 좋아하지 않는 일만을 골라서 하기 때문이다."
  3. 그러므로 주 하나님께서 말씀하신다. "보아라, 내 종들은 먹겠지만, 너희는 굶을 것이다. 보아라, 내 종들은 마시겠지만, 너희는 목이 마를 것이다. 보아라, 내 종들은 기뻐하겠지만, 너희는 수치를 당할 것이다.
  4. 보아라, 내 종들은 마음이 즐거워 노래를 부르겠지만, 너희는 마음이 아파 울부짖으며, 속이 상하여 통곡할 것이다.
  5. 너희의 이름은, 내가 택한 백성이 저주할 거리로 남을 것이다." 내 주 하나님께서 너희를 죽게 하실 것이다. 그러나 주님께서 주님의 종들은 다른 이름으로 부르실 것이다.
  1. But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.
  2. Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
  3. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:
  4. Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
  5. And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
  1. 땅에서 복을 비는 사람은 진리이신 하나님을 두고 빌며, 땅에서 맹세하는 사람도 진리이신 하나님을 두고 맹세할 것이다. "지난날의 괴로운 일들을, 내가 다시 기억하지 않고, 지나간 과거를, 내가 다시 되돌아보지 않기 때문이다."
  1. That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
 
  심판과 소망(65:17-66:24)    
 
  1. "보아라, 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 창조할 것이니, 이전 것들은 기억되거나 마음에 떠오르거나 하지 않을 것이다.
  2. 그러니 너희는 내가 창조하는 것을 길이길이 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 보아라, 내가 예루살렘을 기쁨이 가득 찬 도성으로 창조하고, 그 주민을 행복을 누리는 백성으로 창조하겠다.
  3. 예루살렘은 나의 기쁨이 되고, 거기에 사는 백성은 나의 즐거움이 될 것이니, 그 안에서 다시는 울음 소리와 울부짖는 소리가 들리지 않을 것이다."
  4. 거기에는 몇 날 살지 못하고 죽는 아이가 없을 것이며, 수명을 다 채우지 못하는 노인도 없을 것이다. 백 살에 죽는 사람을 젊은이라고 할 것이며, 백 살을 채우지 못하는 사람을 저주받은 자로 여길 것이다.
  5. 집을 지은 사람들이 자기가 지은 집에 들어가 살 것이며, 포도나무를 심은 사람들이 자기가 기른 나무의 열매를 먹을 것이다.
  1. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
  2. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
  3. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
  4. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
  5. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
  1. 자기가 지은 집에 다른 사람이 들어가 살지 않을 것이며, 자기가 심은 것을 다른 사람이 먹지 않을 것이다. "나의 백성은 나무처럼 오래 살겠고, 그들이 수고하여 번 것을 오래오래 누릴 것이다."
  2. 그들은 헛되이 수고하지 않으며, 그들이 낳은 자식은 재난을 당하지 않을 것이다. 그들은 주님께 복 받은 자손이며, 그들의 자손도 그들과 같이 복을 받을 것이다.
  3. "그들이 부르기 전에 내가 응답하며, 그들이 말을 마치기도 전에 내가 들어주겠다.
  4. 이리와 어린 양이 함께 풀을 먹으며, 사자가 소처럼 여물을 먹으며, 뱀이 흙을 먹이로 삼을 것이다. 나의 거룩한 산에서는 서로 해치거나 상하게 하는 일이 전혀 없을 것이다." 주님의 말씀이시다.
  1. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
  2. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
  3. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
  4. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
 
 
  1. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "하늘은 나의 보좌요, 땅은 나의 발 받침대다. 그러니 너희가 어떻게 내가 살 집을 짓겠으며, 어느 곳에다가 나를 쉬게 하겠느냐?"
  2. 주님의 말씀이시다. "나의 손이 이 모든 것을 지었으며, 이 모든 것이 나의 것이다. 겸손한 사람, 회개하는 사람, 나를 경외하고 복종하는 사람, 바로 이런 사람을 내가 좋아한다."
  3. 소를 죽여 제물로 바치는 자는 사람을 제물로 바치는 자와 같다. 양을 잡아 희생제물로 바치는 자는 개의 목을 부러뜨리는 자와 같다. 부어 드리는 제물을 바치는 자는 돼지의 피를 바치는 자와 같다. 분향을 드리는 자는 우상을 찬미하는 자와 같다. "이러한 제사장들은 나의 뜻을 묻지 않고 제 뜻대로 한 자들이다. 오히려 가증한 우상숭배를 즐겼다. 가증한 우상들을 진정으로 좋아하였다.
  4. 그러기에, 나도 나의 뜻대로 그들을 혹독하게 다루어, 그들이 겁내는 것을 그들에게 들이닥치게 하겠다. 내가 그렇게 불렀으나 그들이 응답하지 않았으며, 내가 그렇게 말하였으나 그들이 듣지 않았으며, 오히려 내가 보는 데서 악한 일을 하며, 내가 좋아하지 않는 일을 골라 하였기 때문이다."
  5. 주님의 말씀을 떨리는 마음으로 받아들이는 사람들아, 너희는 그의 말씀을 들어라. "너희를 미워하는 백성은 너희가 나의 이름을 부른다고 해서 너희를 따돌리며, 이르기를 '주가 영광을 드러내어 너희들이 기뻐하는 모습을 우리가 한 번 볼 수 있게 하여 보아라' 하고 말하나, 그들은 수치를 당할 것이다."
  1. Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
  2. For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
  3. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
  4. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
  5. Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
  1. 성읍에서 요란한 소리가 나오며, 성전으로부터 소리가 들려 온다. 이것은 바로 주님께서 주님의 대적들에게 보응하시는 주님의 목소리이다.
  2. 시온은 진통이 오기도 전에 해산한다. 해산의 고통이 오기도 전에 아이를 낳는다.
  3. 누가 이런 일을 들은 적이 있느냐? 누가 이런 일을 본 적이 있느냐? 나라가 어찌 하루에 생길 수 있으며, 민족이 어찌 한 순간에 태어날 수 있겠느냐? 그러나 시온은 진통이 오자마자 아이들을 낳았다.
  4. "바로 내가 아이를 모태에서 나오게 하거늘, 어찌 내가 아이를 낳게 할 수 없겠느냐?" 주님께서 말씀하신다. "아이를 낳게 하는 이가 나이거늘, 어찌 내가 아이를 못 나오게 막겠느냐?" 너의 하나님께서 말씀하신다.
  5. "예루살렘을 사랑하는 사람들아, 그 성읍과 함께 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 예루살렘을 생각하며 슬퍼하던 사람들아, 너희는 모두 그 성읍과 함께 크게 기뻐하여라.
  1. A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.
  2. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
  3. Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
  4. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
  5. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
  1. 이는, 너희로 하여금, 위로를 주는 예루살렘의 품에서 젖을 빨아 배부르게 하고, 또한 너희로 하여금, 풍요한 젖을 빨아들여 기쁨을 누리게 하려 함이다."
  2. 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. "내가 예루살렘에 평화가 강물처럼 넘치게 하며, 뭇 나라의 부귀영화가 시냇물처럼 넘쳐서 흘러 오게 하겠다." 너희는 예루살렘의 젖을 빨며, 그 팔에 안기고, 그 무릎 위에서 귀여움을 받을 것이다.
  3. "어머니가 그 자식을 위로하듯이, 내가 너희를 위로할 것이니, 너희가 예루살렘에서 위로를 받을 것이다."
  4. 너희가 이것을 보고 마음이 기쁠 것이며 너희의 뼈들이 무성한 풀처럼 튼튼할 것이다. 그리고 주님의 권능이 종들에게 알려지며, 주님께서 원수들에게 진노하실 것이다.
  5. 보아라, 주님께서 화염에 싸여 오시며, 그의 병거는 마치 회오리바람처럼 올 것이다. 그의 노여움이 진노로 바뀌고, 그의 질책이 타는 불길이 되어 보응하려 하신다.
  1. That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
  2. For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
  3. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
  4. And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.
  5. For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
  1. 주님께서 불로 온 세상을 심판하시며, 주님의 칼로 모든 사람을 심판하실 것이니, 주님께 죽음을 당할 자가 많을 것이다.
  2. "스스로를 거룩하게 구별하며, 몸을 깨끗하게 하고, 이교 제사를 바치는 동산으로 들어가서, 우상을 가운데 놓고 둘러서서 돼지고기와 부정한 짐승과 쥐고기를 먹는 자들은, 모두 다 망할 것이다." 주님의 말씀이시다.
  3. "내가 그들의 일과 생각을 알기에, 언어가 다른 모든 민족을 모을 때가 올 것이니, 그들이 와서 나의 영광을 볼 것이다.
  4. 그리고 내가 그들 가운데 징표를 두어서, 살아 남은 자들을 스페인, 뿔, 활을 잘 쏘는 룻, 두발, 야완 민족들과 나의 명성을 들은 적도 없고, 나의 영광을 본 적도 없는 먼 섬들에게 보낼 것이며, 그들이 나의 영광을 모든 민족에게 알릴 것이다.
  5. 마치 이스라엘 자손이 주의 성전에 바칠 예물을 깨끗한 그릇에 담아서 가져 오는 것과 같이, 그들이 또한 모든 민족들로부터 너희의 모든 동포를 나 주에게 바치는 선물로 말과 수레와 가마와 노새와 낙타에 태워서, 나의 거룩한 산 예루살렘으로 데려올 것이다." 주님께서 말씀하신다.
  1. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
  2. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
  3. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
  4. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
  5. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
  1. "그리고 나도 그들 가운데서 제사장과 레위 사람으로 삼을 자를 택하여 세우겠다." 주님께서 말씀하신다.
  2. "내가 지을 새 하늘과 새 땅이 내 앞에 늘 있듯이, 너희 자손과 너희 이름이 늘 있을 것이다." 주님의 말씀이시다.
  3. "매달 초하루와 안식일마다, 모든 사람이, 내 앞에 경배하려고 나올 것이다." 주님께서 말씀하신다.
  4. "그들이 나가서 나를 거역한 자들의 시체들을 볼 것이다." 그들을 먹는 벌레가 죽지 않으며, 그들을 삼키는 불도 꺼지지 않을 것이니, 모든 사람이 그들을 보고 소름이 끼칠 것이다.
