- 의인은 아무런 해도 입지 않지만, 악인은 재난에 파묻혀 산다.
- 주님은 거짓말을 하는 입술은 미워하시지만, 진실하게 사는 사람은 기뻐하신다.
- 슬기로운 사람은 지식을 감추어 두어도, 미련한 사람의 마음은 어리석음을 전파한다.
- 부지런한 사람의 손은 남을 다스리지만, 게으른 사람은 남의 부림을 받는다.
- 마음에 근심이 있으면 번민이 일지만, 좋은 말 한 마디로도 사람을 기쁘게 할 수 있다.
