- 그러므로 우리는 그리스도교의 초보적 교리를 제쳐놓고서, 성숙한 경지로 나아갑시다. 죽은 행실에서 벗어나는 회개와 하나님에 대한 믿음과
- 세례에 관한 가르침과 안수와 죽은 사람의 부활과 영원한 심판과 관련해서, 또 다시 기초를 놓는 일이 없어야 하겠습니다.
- 하나님께서 허락하시면, 우리는 그렇게 할 수 있을 것입니다.
- 한번 빛을 받아서 하늘의 은사를 맛보고, 성령을 나누어 받고, 또
- 하나님의 선한 말씀과 장차 올 세상의 권능을 맛본 사람들이

- Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
- Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- And this will we do, if God permit.
- For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
- And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

- 타락하면, 그들을 새롭게 해서 회개에 이르게 할 수 없습니다. 그런 사람들이야말로 하나님의 아들을 다시금 십자가에 못박고 욕되게 하는 것이기 때문입니다.
- 땅이 자주 내리는 비를 흡수하여 농사짓는 사람에게 유익한 농작물을 내 주면, 그 땅은 하나님께로부터 복을 받습니다.
- 그러나 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 내면, 그 땅은 쓸모가 없어지고, 저주를 받아서 마침내는 불에 타고 말 것입니다.
- 사랑하는 여러분, 우리가 이렇게 말하지만, 여러분에게는 구원에 이르게 하는 더 좋은 것들이 있다는 것을 확신합니다.
- 하나님은 불의하신 분이 아니므로, 여러분의 행위와 여러분이 하나님의 이름을 위하여 나타낸 사랑을 잊지 않으십니다. 여러분은 성도들을 섬겼으며, 또 지금도 섬기고 있습니다.

- If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
- For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
- But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
- But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
- For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

- 여러분 각 사람은 같은 열성을 끝까지 나타내서, 소망을 이루시기 바랍니다.
- 여러분은 게으른 사람이 되지 말고, 믿음과 인내로 약속을 상속받는 사람들을 본받는 사람이 되어야 합니다.

- And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
- That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
