- 내가 보니, 주님께서 제단 곁에 서 계신다. 주님께서 말씀하신다. "성전 기둥 머리들을 쳐서, 문턱들이 흔들리게 하여라. 기둥들이 부서져 내려서, 모든 사람들의 머리를 치게 하여라. 거기에서 살아 남은 자들은, 내가 칼로 죽이겠다. 그들 가운데서 아무도 도망할 수 없고, 아무도 도피할 수 없을 것이다.
- 비록 그들이 땅 속으로 뚫고 들어가더라도, 거기에서 내가 그들을 붙잡아 올리고, 비록 그들이 하늘로 올라가더라도, 거기에서 내가 그들을 끌어내리겠다.
- 비록 그들이 갈멜 산 꼭대기에 숨더라도, 거기에서 내가 그들을 찾아 붙잡아 오고, 비록 그들이 내 눈을 피해서 바다 밑바닥에 숨더라도, 거기에서 내가 바다 괴물을 시켜 그들을 물어 죽이게 하겠다.
- 비록 그들이 적군에게 사로잡혀 끌려가더라도, 거기에서 내가 그들을 칼에 찔려 죽게 하겠다. 그들이 복을 받지 못하고 재앙을 만나도록, 내가 그들을 지켜 보겠다."
- 주 만군의 하나님이 땅에 손을 대시면, 땅이 녹아 내리고 그 땅의 모든 주민이 통곡하며, 온 땅이 강물처럼 솟아오르다가 이집트의 강물처럼 가라앉는다.

- I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
- Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
- And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
- And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
- And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.

- 하늘에 높은 궁전을 지으시고, 땅 위에 푸른 하늘을 펼치시며, 바닷물을 불러 올려서 땅 위에 쏟으신다. 그분의 이름은 '주님'이시다!
- "이스라엘 자손아, 나에게는 너희가 에티오피아 사람들과 똑같다. 나 주가 하는 말이다. 내가 이스라엘을 이집트 땅에서, 블레셋 족속을 크레테에서, 시리아 족속을 기르에서, 이끌어 내지 않았느냐?
- 나 주 하나님이 죄 지은 이 나라 이스라엘을 지켜 보고 있다. 이 나라를 내가 땅 위에서 멸하겠다. 그러나 야곱의 집안을 모두 다 멸하지는 않겠다." 주님께서 하시는 말씀이다.
- "똑똑히 들어라. 내가 이제 명령을 내린다. 곡식을 체질하여서, 돌멩이를 하나도 남김없이 골라 내듯이, 세계 만민 가운데서, 이스라엘 집안을 체질하겠다.
- 나의 백성 가운데서 '재앙이 우리에게 덮치지도 않고, 가까이 오지도 않는다' 하고 말하는 죄인은 모두 칼에 찔려 죽을 것이다."

- It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.
- Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
- Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.
- For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
- All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

- "그 날이 오면, 내가 무너진 다윗의 초막을 일으키고, 그 터진 울타리를 고치면서 그 허물어진 것들을 일으켜 세워서, 그 집을 옛날과 같이 다시 지어 놓겠다.
- 그래서 에돔 족속 가운데서 남은 자들과, 나에게 속해 있던 모든 족속을, 이스라엘 백성이 차지하게 하겠다." 이것은 이 일을 이루실 주님의 말씀이다.
- 주님께서 하시는 말씀이다. "그 때가 되면, 농부는 곡식을 거두고서, 곧바로 땅을 갈아야 하고, 씨를 뿌리고서, 곧바로 포도를 밟아야 할 것이다. 산마다 단 포도주가 흘러 나와서 모든 언덕에 흘러 넘칠 것이다.
- 내가, 사로잡힌 내 백성 이스라엘을 데려오겠다. 그들이 허물어진 성읍들을 다시 세워, 그 안에서 살면서 포도원을 가꾸어서 그들이 짠 포도주를 마시며, 과수원을 만들어서 그들이 가꾼 과일을 먹을 것이다.
- 내가 이 백성을 그들이 살아갈 땅에 심어서, 내가 그들에게 준 이 땅에서 다시는 뿌리가 뽑히지 않게 하겠다." 주 너의 하나님이 말씀하신다.

- In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
- That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.
- Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
- And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
- And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
