출애굽기

  본서는 하나님의 기적적인 구속의 역사를 통해 선민 이스라엘 백성들의 조상과 맺은 언약을 성취하시는 하나님, 구원의 하나님, 경배의 대상이 되는 야웨 하나님을 나타내고 있으며, 구원받은 자들이 꼭 지켜야 할 삶의 원리를 보여 주고 있다.

  요셉을 모르는 왕의 통치 아래서 노예로 전락한 이스라엘 백성들은 심한 고통을 당하여 하나님께 울부짖는다. 하나님께서는 그들의 소리를 들으시고 모세를 세우셔서 애굽의 압제에서 해방시키신다. 홍해를 건너 시내 산에 도착한 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님께로부터 율법과 성막에 관한 계시를 받고 성막을 완성하여 봉헌한다.

 

 

출애굽기 1:1-2:25

 애굽으로 이주한 야곱의 자손들이 번성하여 강대한 민족이 되었다. 그러자 이에 두려움을 느낀 바로는 그들에게 노역을 시키고 히브리인 남아 살해 명령을 내렸다. 이러한 상황에서 모세는 태어난 지 3개월 만에 하숫가에 버려졌으나 바로의 딸에게 발견되어 바로의 궁에서 살게 되었다. 그러나 어느 날 동족을 학대하는 애굽인을 살해한 모세는 미디안 광야로 도망하여 그 곳에서 40년 간 생활하게 되었다.
  
  이스라엘의 고난(1:1-1:22)    
 
  1. 야곱과 함께 각각 자기 가족을 데리고 이집트로 내려간 이스라엘의 아들들의 이름은,
  2. 르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와
  3. 잇사갈과 스불론과 베냐민과
  4. 단과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이다.
  5. 이미 이집트에 내려가 있는 요셉까지 합하여, 야곱의 혈통에서 태어난 사람은 모두 일흔 명이다.
  1. Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob; they came each one with his household:
  2. Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah;
  3. Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin;
  4. Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.
  5. All the persons who came from the loins of Jacob were seventy in number, but Joseph was already in Egypt.
  1. 세월이 지나서, 요셉과 그의 모든 형제와 그 시대 사람들은 다 죽었다.
  2. 그러나 이스라엘 자손은 자녀를 많이 낳고 번성하여, 그 수가 불어나고 세력도 커졌으며, 마침내 그 땅에 가득 퍼졌다.
  3. 요셉을 알지 못하는 새 왕이 일어나서 이집트를 다스리게 되었다.
  4. 그 왕이 자기 백성에게 말하였다. "이 백성 곧 이스라엘 자손이 우리보다 수도 많고, 힘도 강하다.
  5. 그러니 이제 우리는 그들에게 신중히 대처하여야 한다. 그렇게 하지 않으면 그들의 수가 더욱 불어날 것이고, 또 전쟁이라도 일어나는 날에는, 그들이 우리의 원수들과 합세하여 우리를 치고, 이 땅에서 떠나갈 것이다."
  1. Joseph died, and all his brothers and all that generation.
  2. But the sons of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly, and multiplied, and became exceedingly mighty, so that the land was filled with them.
  3. Now a new king arose over Egypt, who did not know Joseph.
  4. He said to his people, "Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are more and mightier than we.
  5. "Come, let us deal wisely with them, or else they will multiply and in the event of war, they will also join themselves to those who hate us, and fight against us and depart from the land."
  1. 그래서 이집트 사람들은, 이스라엘 자손을 부리는 공사 감독관을 두어서, 강제노동으로 그들을 억압하였다. 이스라엘 자손은, 바로가 곡식을 저장하는 성읍 곧 비돔과 라암셋을 건설하는 일에 끌려 나갔다.
  2. 그러나 그들은 억압을 받을수록 그 수가 더욱 불어나고, 자손이 번성하였다. 그래서 이집트 사람들은 이스라엘 자손을 몹시 싫어하였고,
  3. 그들을 더욱 혹독하게 부렸다.
  4. 이집트 사람들이, 흙을 이겨 벽돌을 만드는 일이나 밭일과 같은 온갖 고된 일로 이스라엘 자손을 괴롭히므로, 그들의 일은 매우 힘들었다.
  5. 한편 이집트 왕은 십브라와 부아라고 하는 히브리 산파들에게 이렇게 말하였다.
  1. So they appointed taskmasters over them to afflict them with hard labor And they built for Pharaoh storage cities, Pithom and Raamses.
  2. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread out, so that they were in dread of the sons of Israel.
  3. The Egyptians compelled the sons of Israel to labor rigorously;
  4. and they made their lives bitter with hard labor in mortar and bricks and at all kinds of labor in the field, all their labors which they rigorously imposed on them.
  5. Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other was named Puah;
  1. "너희는 히브리 여인이 아이 낳는 것을 도와줄 때에, 잘 살펴서, 낳은 아기가 아들이거든 죽이고, 딸이거든 살려 두어라."
  2. 그러나 산파들은 하나님을 두려워하였으므로, 이집트 왕이 그들에게 명령한 대로 하지 않고, 남자 아이들을 살려 두었다.
  3. 이집트 왕이 산파들을 불러들여, 그들을 꾸짖었다. "어찌하여 일을 이렇게 하였느냐? 어찌하여 남자 아이들을 살려 두었느냐?"
  4. 산파들이 바로에게 대답하였다. "히브리 여인들은 이집트 여인들과 같지 않습니다. 그들은 기운이 좋아서, 산파가 그들에게 이르기도 전에 아기를 낳아 버립니다."
  5. 그래서 하나님이 산파들에게 은혜를 베풀어 주셨으며, 이스라엘 백성은 크게 불어났고, 매우 강해졌다.
  1. and he said, "When you are helping the Hebrew women to give birth and see them upon the birthstool, if it is a son, then you shall put him to death; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live."
  2. But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live.
  3. So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, "Why have you done this thing, and let the boys live?"
  4. The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife can get to them."
  5. So God was good to the midwives, and the people multiplied, and became very mighty.
  1. 하나님은 산파들이 하나님을 두려워하는 것을 보시고, 그들의 집안을 번성하게 하셨다.
  2. 마침내 바로는 모든 백성에게 명령을 내렸다. "갓 태어난 히브리 남자 아이는 모두 강물에 던지고, 여자 아이들만 살려 두어라."
  1. Because the midwives feared God, He established households for them.
  2. Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "Every son who is born you are to cast into the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive."
 
  모세의 출생과 망명(2:1-2:25)    
 
  1. 레위 가문의 한 남자가 레위 가문의 한 여자를 아내로 맞이하였다.
  2. 그 여자가 임신을 하여 아들을 낳았는데, 그 아이가 하도 잘 생겨서, 남이 모르게 석 달 동안이나 길렀다.
  3. 그러나 더 이상 숨길 수가 없어서, 갈대 상자를 구하여다가 역청과 송진을 바르고, 아이를 거기에 담아 강가의 갈대 사이에 놓아 두었다.
  4. 그 아이의 누이가 멀찍이 서서, 아이가 어떻게 되는지를 지켜 보고 있었다.
  5. 마침 바로의 딸이 목욕을 하려고 강으로 내려왔다. 시녀들이 강가를 거닐고 있을 때에, 공주가 갈대 숲 속에 있는 상자를 보고, 시녀 한 명을 보내서 그것을 가져 오게 하였다.
  1. Now a man from the house of Levi went and married a daughter of Levi.
  2. The woman conceived and bore a son; and when she saw that he was beautiful, she hid him for three months.
  3. But when she could hide him no longer, she got him a wicker basket and covered it over with tar and pitch Then she put the child into it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile.
  4. His sister stood at a distance to find out what would happen to him.
  5. The daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the Nile, with her maidens walking alongside the Nile; and she saw the basket among the reeds and sent her maid, and she brought it to her.
  1. 열어 보니, 거기에 남자 아이가 울고 있었다. 공주가 그 아이를 불쌍히 여기면서 말하였다. "이 아이는 틀림없이 히브리 사람의 아이로구나."
  2. 그 때에 그 아이의 누이가 나서서 바로의 딸에게 말하였다. "제가 가서, 히브리 여인 가운데서 아기에게 젖을 먹일 유모를 데려다 드릴까요?"
  3. 바로의 딸이 대답하였다. "그래, 어서 데려오너라." 그 소녀가 가서, 그 아이의 어머니를 불러 왔다.
  4. 바로의 딸이 그에게 말하였다. "이 아이를 데리고 가서, 나를 대신하여 젖을 먹여 다오. 그렇게 하면, 내가 너에게 삯을 주겠다." 그래서 그 여인은 그 아이를 데리고 가서 젖을 먹였다.
  5. 그 아이가 다 자란 다음에, 그 여인이 그 아이를 바로의 딸에게 데려다 주니, 공주는 이 아이를 양자로 삼았다. 공주는 "내가 그를 물에서 건졌다" 하면서, 그의 이름을 모세라고 지었다.
  1. When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the boy was crying. And she had pity on him and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."
  2. Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women that she may nurse the child for you?"
  3. Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go ahead." So the girl went and called the child's mother.
  4. Then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child away and nurse him for me and I will give you your wages." So the woman took the child and nursed him.
  5. The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said, "Because I drew him out of the water."
  1. 세월이 지나, 모세가 어른이 되었다. 어느 날 그는 왕궁 바깥으로 나가 동족에게로 갔다가, 그들이 고되게 노동하는 것을 보았다. 그 때에 그는 동족인 히브리 사람이 이집트 사람에게 매를 맞는 것을 보고,
  2. 좌우를 살펴서 사람이 없는 것을 확인하고, 그 이집트 사람을 쳐죽여서 모래 속에 묻어 버렸다.
  3. 이튿날 그가 다시 나가서 보니, 히브리 사람 둘이 서로 싸우고 있었다. 그래서 그는 잘못한 사람에게 말하였다. "당신은 왜 동족을 때리오?"
  4. 그러자 그 사람은 대들었다. "누가 당신을 우리의 지도자와 재판관으로 세웠단 말이오? 당신이 이집트 사람을 죽이더니, 이제는 나도 죽일 작정이오?" 모세는 일이 탄로난 것을 알고 두려워하였다.
  5. 바로가 이 일을 전하여 듣고, 모세를 죽이려고 찾았다. 모세는 바로를 피하여 미디안 땅으로 도망 쳐서, 거기에서 머물렀다. 어느 날 그가 우물가에 앉아 있을 때이다.
  1. Now it came about in those days, when Moses had grown up, that he went out to his brethren and looked on their hard labors; and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.
  2. So he looked this way and that, and when he saw there was no one around, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
  3. He went out the next day, and behold, two Hebrews were fighting with each other; and he said to the offender, "Why are you striking your companion?"
  4. But he said, "Who made you a prince or a judge over us? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said, "Surely the matter has become known."
  5. When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the presence of Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, and he sat down by a well.
  1. 미디안 제사장에게 일곱 딸이 있었는데, 그 딸들이 그리로 와서 물을 길어 구유에 부으며, 아버지의 양 떼에게 물을 먹이려고 하였다.
  2. 그런데 목자들이 나타나서, 그들을 쫓아 버렸다. 그래서 모세가 일어나서, 그 딸들을 도와 양 떼에게 물을 먹였다.
  3. 그들이 아버지 르우엘에게 돌아갔을 때에, 아버지가 그들에게 물었다. "너희가 오늘은 어떻게 이렇게 일찍 돌아왔느냐?"
  4. 그들이 대답하였다. "어떤 이집트 사람이 목자들의 손에서 우리를 구하여 주고, 우리를 도와서 물까지 길어, 양 떼에게 먹였습니다."
  5. 아버지가 딸들에게 말하였다. "그 사람이 어디에 있느냐? 그런 사람을 그대로 두고 오다니, 어찌 그럴 수가 있느냐? 그를 불러다가 음식을 대접해라."
  1. Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and they came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock.
  2. Then the shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and helped them and watered their flock.
  3. When they came to Reuel their father, he said, "Why have you come back so soon today?"
  4. So they said, "An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and what is more, he even drew the water for us and watered the flock."
  5. He said to his daughters, "Where is he then? Why is it that you have left the man behind? Invite him to have something to eat."
  1. 르우엘은, 모세가 기꺼이 자기와 함께 살겠다고 하므로, 자기 딸 십보라를 모세와 결혼하게 하였다.
  2. 십보라가 아들을 낳으니, 모세는 "내가 낯선 땅에서 나그네가 되었구나!" 하면서, 아들의 이름을 게르솜이라고 지었다.
  3. 세월이 많이 흘러서, 이집트의 왕이 죽었다. 이스라엘 자손이 고된 일 때문에 탄식하며 부르짖으니, 고된 일 때문에 부르짖는 소리가 하나님께 이르렀다.
  4. 하나님이 그들의 탄식하는 소리를 들으시고, 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 세우신 언약을 기억하시고,
  5. 이스라엘 자손의 종살이를 보시고, 그들의 처지를 생각하셨다.
  1. Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses.
  2. Then she gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, "I have been a sojourner in a foreign land."
  3. Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.
  4. So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
  5. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.
