예레미야 26:1-27:22

 패역한 유다 백성들에게 하나님의 심판을 선포하면서 회개를 촉구했다는 이유로 예레미야는 유다 지도자들로부터 위협을 받았으나 아히감의 보호로 죽음을 면했다. 예레미야는 줄과 멍에를 목에 얹고서 다시 한 번 이방 열국에게 바벨론에 항복할 것을 권면했으며, 시드기야 왕과 유다 백성들에게 거짓 선지자들의 말에 속지 말고 바벨론에 항복할 것을 권고했다.
  
  핍박받는 예레미야(26:1-26:24)    
 
  1. 요시야의 아들 여호야김이 유다 왕이 되어 다스리기 시작할 무렵에, 주님께서 예레미야에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "나 주가 말한다. 너는 주의 뜰에 서서, 내가 너에게 전하라고 명한 모든 말을, 유다의 모든 성읍에서 주의 성전에 경배하러 오는 사람에게, 한 마디도 빼놓지 말고 일러주어라.
  3. 혹시 그들이 그 말을 듣고서, 각자 자신의 악한 길에서 돌아설 수도 있지 않겠느냐? 그러면 내가, 그들의 악한 행실 때문에 그들에게 내리기로 작정한 재앙을, 거둘 것이다.
  4. 너는 나 주가 한 말을 그들에게 이렇게 일러주어라. '너희가, 내가 너희에게 준 법에 따라서 순종하여 살지 않으면,
  5. 내가 거듭하여 보내고 너희에게 서둘러서 보낸 내 종 예언자들의 말을 너희가 듣지 않으면,
  1. In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came from the LORD, saying,
  2. "Thus says the LORD, 'Stand in the court of the LORD'S house, and speak to all the cities of Judah who have come to worship in the LORD'S house all the words that I have commanded you to speak to them Do not omit a word!
  3. 'Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.'
  4. "And you will say to them, 'Thus says the LORD, "If you will not listen to Me, to walk in My law which I have set before you,
  5. to listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have been sending to you again and again, but you have not listened;
  1. 내가 이 성전을 실로처럼 만들어 버리고, 이 도성을 세상 만민의 저줏거리가 되게 하겠다.'"
  2. 제사장들과 예언자들과 온 백성은 예레미야가 주님의 성전에서 선포한 이 말씀을 다 들었다.
  3. 이와 같이 예레미야가 주님의 명대로, 모든 백성에게 주님의 모든 말씀을 선포하니, 제사장들과 예언자들과 모든 백성이 그를 붙잡고 소리를 질렀다. "너는 반드시 죽고 말 것이다.
  4. 어찌하여 네가 주님의 이름을 빌려, 이 성전이 실로처럼 되고, 이 도성이 멸망하여 여기에 아무도 살 수 없게 된다고 예언하느냐?" 그러면서 온 백성이, 주님의 성전 안에 있는 예레미야를 치려고, 그 주위로 몰려들었다.

  1. then I will make this house like Shiloh, and this city I will make a curse to all the nations of the earth."'"
  2. The priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD.
  3. When Jeremiah finished speaking all that the LORD had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, "You must die!
  4. "Why have you prophesied in the name of the LORD saying, 'This house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate, without inhabitant'?" And all the people gathered about Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
  5. When the officials of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king's house to the house of the LORD and sat in the entrance of the New Gate of the LORD'S house.
  1. 제사장들과 예언자들이 그 고관들과 온 백성에게 말하였다. "이 사람은 사형 선고를 받아야 마땅합니다. 여러분이 직접 귀로 들으신 바와 같이, 그는 이 도성이 멸망한다고 예언을 하였습니다."

  1. Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the officials and to all the people, saying, "A death sentence for this man! For he has prophesied against this city as you have heard in your hearing."
  2. Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and to all the people, saying, "The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.
  3. "Now therefore amend your ways and your deeds and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will change His mind about the misfortune which He has pronounced against you.
  4. "But as for me, behold, I am in your hands; do with me as is good and right in your sight.
  5. "Only know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city and on its inhabitants; for truly the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing."
  1. 그러자 고관들과 온 백성이 제사장들과 예언자들에게 말하였다. "이 사람에게는 사형 선고를 받아야 할 만한 죄가 없습니다. 그는 주 우리 하나님의 이름으로 우리에게 말씀을 전하였기 때문입니다."
  2. 이 때에 지방의 장로들 가운데서 몇 사람이 일어나서, 거기에 모인 백성의 온 회중에게 이렇게 말하였다.
  3. "유다 왕 히스기야 시대에 모레셋 사람 미가가 유다 온 백성에게 이와 같이 예언하였습니다. '나 만군의 주가 말한다. 시온이 밭 갈듯 뒤엎어질 것이며, 예루살렘이 폐허 더미가 되고, 성전이 서 있는 이 산은 수풀만이 무성한 언덕이 되고 말 것이다.'
  4. 그 때에 유다 왕 히스기야와 온 유다 백성이 그를 죽였습니까? 그들이 오히려 주님을 두려워하고, 주님의 은혜를 간구하니, 주님께서도 그들에게 내리겠다고 말씀하신 재앙을 거두시지 않았습니까? 그런데 지금 우리는 그 큰 재앙을 우리 자신들에게 불러들이려 하고 있습니다."
  5. （그 당시에 주님의 이름으로 예언한 사람이 또 한 명 있었는데, 그가 바로 기럇여아림 사람 스마야의 아들 우리야였다. 그도 예레미야와 같은 말씀으로, 이 도성과 이 나라에 재앙이 내릴 것을 예언하였다.
  1. Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and to the prophets, "No death sentence for this man! For he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God."
  2. Then some of the elders of the land rose up and spoke to all the assembly of the people, saying,
  3. "Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, 'Thus the LORD of hosts has said, "Zion will be plowed as a field, And Jerusalem will become ruins, And the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest."'
  4. "Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Did he not fear the LORD and entreat the favor of the LORD, and the LORD changed His mind about the misfortune which He had pronounced against them? But we are committing a great evil against ourselves."
  5. Indeed, there was also a man who prophesied in the name of the LORD, Uriah the son of Shemaiah from Kiriath-jearim; and he prophesied against this city and against this land words similar to all those of Jeremiah.
  1. 그런데 여호야김 왕이, 자기의 모든 용사와 모든 고관과 함께 그의 말을 들은 뒤에, 그를 직접 죽이려고 찾았다. 우리야가 이 소식을 듣고 두려워하여 이집트로 도망하였다.
  2. 그러자 여호야김 왕이 악볼의 아들 엘라단에게 몇 사람의 수행원을 딸려서 이집트로 보냈다.
  3. 그들이 이집트에서 우리야를 붙잡아 여호야김 왕에게 데려오자, 왕은 그를 칼로 죽이고, 그 시체를 평민의 공동 묘지에 던졌다.）
  4. 그러나 예레미야는 사반의 아들 아히감이 보호하여 주었으므로, 그를 죽이려는 백성의 손에서 벗어날 수 있었다.
  1. When King Jehoiakim and all his mighty men and all the officials heard his words, then the king sought to put him to death; but Uriah heard it, and he was afraid and fled and went to Egypt.
  2. Then King Jehoiakim sent men to Egypt: Elnathan the son of Achbor and certain men with him went into Egypt.
  3. And they brought Uriah from Egypt and led him to King Jehoiakim, who slew him with a sword and cast his dead body into the burial place of the common people.
  4. But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, so that he was not given into the hands of the people to put him to death.
 
  바벨론의 멍에를 메라(27:1-27:22)    
 
  1. 요시야의 아들 시드기야가 유다 왕이 되어 다스리기 시작할 무렵에, 주님께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. 주님께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. "너는 나무 멍에들을 만들어 밧줄을 달고, 그 멍에들을 네 목으로 메어다가,
  3. 지금 유다 왕 시드기야를 만나려고 예루살렘에 와 있는 사절들에게 나누어 주어, 그것들을 에돔 왕과 모압 왕과 암몬 사람의 왕과 두로 왕과 시돈 왕에게로 보내어라.
  4. 너는 또 그들에게 이렇게 명령하여, 각자 상전에게 전하게 하여라. '나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 너희는 각자 상전에게 전하여라.
  5. 내가 큰 권능과 편 팔로 이 땅을 만들고, 이 땅 위에 있는 사람과 짐승도 만들었다. 그러므로 나의 눈에 드는 사람에게 이 땅을 맡기겠다.
  1. In the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying--
  2. thus says the LORD to me--"Make for yourself bonds and yokes and put them on your neck,
  3. and send word to the king of Edom, to the king of Moab, to the king of the sons of Ammon, to the king of Tyre and to the king of Sidon by the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.
  4. "Command them to go to their masters, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, thus you shall say to your masters,
  5. "I have made the earth, the men and the beasts which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight.
  1. 지금 나는 이 모든 나라를 나의 종 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 맡겼으며, 들짐승도 그에게 맡겨서, 그가 부리게 하였다.
  2. 그러므로 모든 민족이 느부갓네살과 그의 아들과 그의 손자를 섬길 것이다. 물론 바빌로니아도 망하고 느부갓네살도 망할 때가 올 것이다. 그 때가 되면, 그의 나라도 강한 족속들과 위대한 왕들을 섬길 것이다.

  4. 그러므로 너희에게 있는 예언자들이나 점쟁이들이나 해몽가들이나 박수들이나 마술사들이 너희에게 바빌로니아 왕을 섬기지 않게 될 것이라고 말해도, 너희는 듣지 말아라.
  5. 그들의 예언은 거짓이다. 너희가 그들의 말을 듣게 되면, 너희는 고향 땅에서 멀리 쫓겨나게 될 것이다. 내가 너희를 내쫓아 멸망하게 할 것이다.
  1. "Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and I have given him also the wild animals of the field to serve him.
  2. "All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson until the time of his own land comes; then many nations and great kings will make him their servant.
  3. "It will be, that the nation or the kingdom which will not serve him, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and which will not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with the sword, with famine and with pestilence," declares the LORD, "until I have destroyed it by his hand.
  4. "But as for you, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers or your sorcerers who speak to you, saying, 'You will not serve the king of Babylon.'
  5. "For they prophesy a lie to you in order to remove you far from your land; and I will drive you out and you will perish.
  1. 그러나 바빌로니아 왕의 멍에를 목에 메고, 그를 섬기는 민족에게는 내가 고향 땅에 남아 농사를 지으며, 그대로 살 수 있게 하겠다. 나 주의 말이다.'"
  2. 나는 유다 왕 시드기야에게도 이와 똑같은 말을 전하였다. "여러분들은 바빌로니아 왕의 멍에를 메고, 그와 그의 백성을 섬겨서 살아 남도록 하십시오.
  3. 주님께서, 바빌로니아 왕을 섬기지 않는 백성은 전쟁과 기근과 염병으로 죽이겠다고 말씀하셨는데, 어찌하여 임금님과 임금님의 백성은 그와 같이 죽으려고 하십니까?

  2. I spoke words like all these to Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, "Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people, and live!
  3. "Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, famine and pestilence, as the LORD has spoken to that nation which will not serve the king of Babylon?
  4. "So do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, 'You will not serve the king of Babylon,' for they prophesy a lie to you;
  5. for I have not sent them," declares the LORD, "but they prophesy falsely in My name, in order that I may drive you out and that you may perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you."
  1. 그리고 나는 제사장들과 이 모든 백성에게 이렇게 말하였다. "나 주가 말한다. 너희는, 주의 성전의 기구들이 이제 곧 바빌로니아에서 되돌아올 것이라고 하는 너희 예언자들의 말을 듣지 말아라. 그들이 너희에게 하는 예언은 거짓이다.
  2. 너희는 그들의 말을 듣지 말고, 바빌로니아 왕을 섬겨서 살아 남도록 하여라. 어찌하여 이 도성이 폐허가 되어야 하겠느냐?
  3. 그러므로 그들이 예언자들이라고 한다면, 정말로 그들이 주의 말씀을 받은 사람들이라면, 차라리 그들은 주의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 아직 남아 있는 기구들을 더 이상 바빌로니아에 빼앗기지 않게 해 달라고, 만군의 주에게 호소해야 옳을 것이다.
  4. （나 만군의 주가 기둥과 놋바다와 받침대와 아직 이 도성에 남아 있는 기구,
  5. 곧 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살이 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고냐와, 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 귀족을 예루살렘에서 바빌로니아로 붙잡아 갈 때에 남겨 두었던 것들에 관하여 말하겠다.）
  1. Then I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, "Thus says the LORD: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, 'Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house will now shortly be brought again from Babylon'; for they are prophesying a lie to you.
  2. "Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live! Why should this city become a ruin?
  3. "But if they are prophets, and if the word of the LORD is with them, let them now entreat the LORD of hosts that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem may not go to Babylon.
  4. "For thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, concerning the sea, concerning the stands and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
  5. which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he carried into exile Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem.
  1. 참으로 주의 성전과 유다 왕궁과 예루살렘에 남아 있는 그 기구를 두고, 나 만군의 주, 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다.
  2. 그것들도 바빌로니아로 실려 가서, 내가 찾아올 때까지 그냥 그 곳에 남아 있을 것이다. 나 주의 말이다. 그리고 그 후에 내가 그것들을 이 곳으로 다시 옮겨 올 것이다."
  1. "Yes, thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of the LORD and in the house of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem,
  2. 'They will be carried to Babylon and they will be there until the day I visit them,' declares the LORD 'Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place.'"
